WELCOME TO OUR WEBSITE DEVOTED TO THE TEACHING AND LEARNING OF ENGLISH LEARNERS
On these pages, we have information about both innovative and tried-and-true, research-based practices for English language learners (ELLs). Much of our research has focused on the ever-growing practice of co-teaching or what we often call an integrated service delivery system for ELLs, which includes the entire instructional cycle of co-planning, co-instruction, co-assessment, and collaborative reflection. In addition, we have also published a series of books to identify best practices for meeting the needs of ELLs as well as the many not-so-common learners (students with disabilities, students with interrupted formal education, children of poverty, and so on) in the era of the Common Core State Standards.
